Reading Thomas L Friedman’s The World is Flat is pretty darn eye-opening. Having it subtly intoduced to us during Geography was insufficient! It’s an amazing perspective on the concept of Globalization and its effects on various societies around the world. Darn are we close-minded. And on a side note Wal-Mart is a metaphor for Singapore! No resources thus the necessity of innovation and tapping into high quality and efficient service to remain competitve - sounds familiar people?
